Operations at the Maputo Afecc Gloria Hotel in Mozambique have returned to normal following a strike by staff on Sunday, January 5.
More than 220 of the hotel’s kitchen, restaurant, reception and cleaning staff walked out of the hotel on Sunday in protest at not receiving their December wages.
Reservation Supervisor, Amancio Guambe, confirmed to Tourism Update that the strike had ended and the wages had been paid.
