U.K. regional carrier Flybe will be rebranded as Virgin Connect next year. A consortium including Virgin Atlantic acquired Flybe in February.
Virgin Connect will link Virgin Atlantic’s long-haul network of mostly transatlantic flights to Flybe’s current European regional network. The synergy is likely to benefit Delta, which owns 49% of Virgin Atlantic and operates a transatlantic joint venture with the carrier.
Along with Virgin Atlantic, Cyrus Capital and Stobart Aviation own Flybe.
