Want to fly free on Frontier Airlines? It will help if you’re Green — or Greene.
As part of the discount carrier’s ongoing Green Week initiative, Frontier is offering free flights on Aug. 13 to anyone with one of those last names.
For those who are eligible, taking part is simple. They simply need to go to flyfrontier.com and book a one-way or roundtrip itinerary that begins during the Aug. 13 calendar day and ends by Aug. 20. Payment must be made at booking, but Frontier will refund each flyer up to $400 by Sept. 15. Immediate family members aren’t eligible for the promotion unless they too have the last name of Green or Greene.
Frontier is using Green Week to highlight its commitment to sustainability. The carrier called particular attention to its fleet of Airbus aircraft, which includes 43 fuel-efficient A320neo aircraft out of a 91-plane total.
“Frontier’s seating configuration, weight-saving tactics and baggage process have all contributed to the airline’s average of 39% fuel savings compared to other U.S. airlines,” the carrier said, adding that the figure is based upon its fuel consumption per seat mile compared to the weighted average of major U.S. airlines.
