Great Plains Conservations is set to open a new luxury tented camp, Mara Nyika camp, in the Naboisho Conservancy, Maasai Mara, Kenya next month.
Mara Nyika will open with four luxury tents and a family suite, and a two-bedroom private villa which will open next year June. The camp will be closed from March to June 2020 for the building of the additional tents.
Each guest tent has a private verandah, desk and dressing area as well as a small lounge, and is either twin or double bed configuration. There is a low ramped tent for guests that require wheelchair access.
Mara Nyika can accommodate 8 guests sharing, plus an additional guide’s tent as required. Children from 8 years are welcome and can be accommodated in the family suite.
Activities at the camp includes, early morning, late afternoon and night game drives in an open, 4×4 vehicle as well as the option of getting to know more about the local Maasai Community.
Balloon flights across the Maasai Mara can be arranged but are at an additional cost.
