SereneAir has announced a three-year content distribution agreement with Amadeus which will see the growing airline make available more of its service offerings to global travel partners.
Having launched in 2017, SereneAir has experienced rapid growth to reach an estimated 750,000 passengers in 2018, with more than one million anticipated to travel via the airline in 2019.
By choosing distribution services through Amadeus, SereneAir will have the advantage of being able to interline with some of the world’s largest international carriers, increasing its opportunities to carry more passengers across Pakistan and fuelling further growth.
The partnership sets a new benchmark from Pakistan’s local carriers and is the first time SereneAir has adopted a global distribution system.
Aside from SereneAir and national carrier PIA, no other Pakistan carrier uses a GDS to distribute content.
Sohail Gul Khan, chief executive, SereneAir, said: “SereneAir is a premium airline on a mission to rejuvenate domestic travel by building an impeccable experience.
“With such a strong portfolio of both products and clients, Amadeus was the natural choice for us to partner with in this distribution agreement, and will be a valued companion as we realise our vision through avant-garde technology and top-notch service.”
Every year Amadeus supports over 200 airlines manage passenger service systems and over 500 airlines to distribute content to create 1.6 billion memorable journeys for their passengers.
Speaking on the partnership, Maher Koubaa, executive vice president, airlines, Middle East, Turkey and Africa, Amadeus, said: “We are thrilled to welcome SereneAir into our global portfolio as the first Pakistan carrier to enter into a partnership with Amadeus.
“There is great growth potential in Pakistan’s domestic air travel sector, and with Amadeus as a partner of choice, SereneAir will be able to leverage the vast possibilities of our cutting-edge solutions and global alliances.”
