Mack Air has opened a new guest lounge with a luggage storage facility at the newly upgraded Kasane International airport, and is also looking at the possibility of bi-weekly flights to Windhoek.
Michael Weyl, Mack Air General Manager, says: “The lounge has comfortable seating, WiFi, aircon, tea/coffee facilities, and a private environment accommodating up to 12 guests.”
The airline has also been replacing part of its current fleet. “The remaining aircraft will be delivered by December, with two arriving at the end of this month. Since January 2018, Mack Air will have received 16 Cessna Grand Caravan EXs, at an cost of $48m.”
Planned flights to Windhoek are expected to start early 2019 pending the acquisition of the relevant licences from the Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana.
Mack Air is based in Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta, and its destinations stretch across Botswana and neighbouring countries to Johannesburg, Victoria Falls, Vilanculos and Windhoek.
