Kenya Tourism Federation (KTF) Chairman, Mohammed Hersi, has joined the ARP Travel Group as Operations Director, with immediate effect.
The group is made up of a network of companies, consisting of Alpha Travel in London, Ranger Safaris in Tanzania and Pollman’s Tours and Safaris in Kenya.
Hersi has a vast amount of experience in the industry, with previous positions including GM of the Whitesands Hotel before moving to Heritage Hotels as CEO. More recently Hersi was CEO of Sun Africa Hotels, prior to joining the ARP Travel Group.
Before being elected KTF Chair, Hersi was Chair of the Mombasa and Coast Tourism Association, which then became the Kenya Coast Tourism Association. In addition, he was National Chairman of Skål Kenya.
He is an Utalii graduate and holds an MBA from the Regent Business School in Durban.
Mike Jameson has been appointed GM of Destiny Hotel & Convention Centre by BON Hotels in Johannesburg.
After completing a post-graduate course in management, Jameson went on to acquire a BA in Psychology and Law, after which he joined the hospitality industry.
