Ferry operator DFDS has announced the appointment of Graham Hopcraft as its new key account manager – south.
Hopcraft joins the business with 18 years’ experience in the ferry industry, having spent the last ten years at Condor Ferries and more recently has sat on the board of the Coach Tourism Association.
Speaking of his appointment, Hopcraft said “I’m looking forward to working for a progressive company with a proven track record for growth and support.
“Having spent 18 years in the fast ferry industry, I am looking forward to the new challenge this role presents, where I can build on DFDS’ successes and contribute to the bottom line of a global company whilst remaining in the ferry industry.”
While Hopcraft’s role is primarily looking after DFDS’ coaching group and specialists accounts, he will also be looking to replicate the business’ success in the north with retail multiples and agents across the south of England and south Wales.
Colin Fawcus, national sales manager at DFDS, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Graham into the UK Sales team and he already has extensive knowledge of the ferry industry, which puts him in great stead to build strong relationships with our existing trade partners and share his insight to attract new customers.”
