Las Vegas’ 2017 visitor numbers tailed off, falling 1.7%, to 42.2 million, according the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
Visitor numbers had already been down about 1% for the year before the Oct. 1 mass shooting that killed 58 concert-goers on the Las Vegas Strip.
Hotel occupancy for 2017 fell 0.4 percentage points, to 88.7%, though average room rates rose 2.8%, to $129.45.
For December, visitor numbers fell 2.3% from a year earlier, to 3.2 million, despite a 13% jump in convention visitors.
Las Vegas had set records for visitors in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
