Alongside the launch of its Europe Summer 2018/19 programme, Contiki has introduced a new travel style: Independent Insider.
Combining the benefits of a Contiki experience, itineraries have reimagined group travel and allow travellers to pick their start and end cities and customise a trip that suits them best.
With trips ranging from three-12 nights, no structured itineraries and multiple start and end destinations, the new Independent Insider itineraries are designed like building blocks.
Each Independent Insider trip offers the choice of four cities, with three nights in each city, so customers can choose how many cities they want to visit, along with their start and end point for maximum freedom and flexibility.
Independent Insider trips will visit some of Europe’s trendiest destinations such as Copenhagen, Porto, Budapest, Mykonos, and the Amalfi Coast.
“Our research tells us there’s a segment of consumers who want a more flexible way of travelling, but still crave the social experiences afforded by group travel,” said Donna Jeavons, Contiki sales and marketing director, UK & Europe.
“Independent Insider speaks directly to this traveller, and we’re happy to continue to innovate with our trips to speak to our ever changing market.”
Developed with the millennial traveller in mind, every destination on the trip includes a unique local experience – think progressive food tours in Berlin or a street art tour of Barcelona.
Each trip will offer multiple Free-Time Add Ons such as a Vespa tour in Rome, a Patisserie Tour in Paris and a Cocktail Mixology class in Amsterdam.
In addition, all Independent Insider trips will include a local food experience with partner VizEat, bringing passionate foodie locals to Contiki’s travellers.
Travellers can opt to add two Independent Insider trips together, covering more of Europe’s cities in one longer journey.
