Lentaba Lodge on Lalibela Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape recently reopened following a complete refurbishment and upgrade.
Two new rooms were added, taking Lentaba from eight rooms to ten.
There are two room categories, five classic and five luxury rooms, the main difference being that the luxury rooms have baths in addition to showers.
GM of Lalibela, Rob Gradwell, said: “The new owners of Lalibela were determined that the new look needed to significantly increase the comfort levels for guests, while keeping a safari/bush feel. All rooms were enlarged and greater emphasis was placed on maximising the views of the lush valley that Lentaba is positioned in. We are extremely happy with the outcome and I am very proud of my team who worked seven-day weeks and long hours. Our focus now moves to completing the luxury five-bedroomed exclusive-use private villa, which will open before the busy season starts.”
Since purchasing the property last year, the new owners have increased the size of Lalibela, added game and embarked on a host of environmental and staff upliftment projects, including demolishing all old staff housing and building new accommodation.
