Denver is said to be the birthplace of the cheeseburger. So, if you find yourself in the City of the Plains craving a juicy hamburger, you won’t be disappointed. Highland Tap Burger
The standout may be the Shroom Luvas burger (sauteed mushrooms, emmental and white truffle aioli), especially when topped with shaved foie gras, but don’t overlook the rest of the burgers on the menu: check out the Rocky Mountain (ground lamb, goat cheese, tomato mint relish and wild arugula) Mother Earth, black bean veggie patty patty crowned with radish sprouts, roma tomato with madras curry cilantro aioli.

As far as local chains are concerned, it doesn’t get any better than Larkburger – juicy, thick black Angus beef patties and parmesan truffle fries. Nuff said!

Denver’s most sexiest burger goes to Vine Steer’s Date Night Burger: ⅓ all natural, Colorodo beef, roasted poblano peppers, hickory smoked bacon, melted goat cheese and a date purée.

Yup, you’ll definitely be craving these strange burger concoctions. (Thankfully there are several locations.) Just try to resist the call of Sin City, crispy tempura, fried white cheddar, bourbon-glazed onions, candied bacon, avocado and lettuce, or Luther (yes, as in the devil) a glazed donut burger made with bacon, cheddar, egg and onion.

The certified Angus burgers hail from Harris Ranch. They’re made all the more better by the curated toppings selection. Try the smoky BBQ Burger, cheddar, BBQ sauce and crispy haystack onions or the decadent Scarpone, provolone, crispy pancetta, giardiniera and truffle garlic aioli.
