1. Masai Mara – Kenya
This preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya is filled with wildlife like lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, and migrating wildebeest. Village settlements of Maasai people live throughout the reserve, as well.
2. Santa Rosa National Park – Costa Rica

Santa Rose protects some of the last remaining tropical dry forest in the world, as well as two important turtle nesting beaches. It’s also connected to Guanacaste National Park, which protects the high-altitude cloud rainforest and volcanoes in the region.
3. Lencois Maranhenses National Park – Brazil

On Brazil’s north Atlantic coast, this park is known for its sprawling deserts, seasonal rainwater lagoons, and mangrove swamps.

In Cumbria, Northwest England, this region is a popular vacation destination known for its glacial lakes, rugged mountains, and picturesque market towns filled with art galleries and places of literary history interest.
5. Sibillini National Park – Italy

Sibillini encompasses sprawling vineyards, rolling hills, and 18 picturesque towns in Italy’s famous Umbria region, packed with art galleries, abbeys, and medieval castles.
6. Erawan National Park – Thailand

This park is filled with caves (which are in turn filled with stalactites, stalagmites, and rock paintings), as well as elephants and deer, and the tallest waterfall in the area.
7. Sasan Gir National Park – India

This wildlife sanctuary is home to the world’s only natural habitat of wild Asiatic lions, as well as hyenas, rare birds, and Gir foxes.
8. Tayrona National Park – Colombia

Covering the foothills of Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta along the Caribbean coast in Colombia, it’s known for palm-shaded coves, coastal lagoons, and rainforest. It’s also home to the terraced Pueblito ruins, an archaeological site only accessible via a hidden forest trail.
9. Kruger National Park, South Africa

One of Africa’s largest game reserves, Kruger is home to the famous Big Five (lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalo) and characterized by mountains, bush plains, and tropical forests.
10. Manu National Park – Peru

One of the most diverse nature reserves in the world, Manu spans Andean highlands, cloud forest, and Amazonian jungle, and is home to a plethora of wildlife, most notably jaguars and spider monkeys.
