Andavo Travel is offering its agents a fee-based social media service, Compass, in which its marketing team will execute social media on behalf of agents.
Kirsten Little, vice president of operations and business development, said the service is a value add for the host agency.
According to Andavo, agents who sign up will meet with the marketing staff to discuss which social media platforms to use; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest are all options as of Compass’ launch. They will also discuss what kind of content to focus on (such as a niche or specialty).
Once that consultation has taken place, the marketing staff at Andavo will create profiles for the agent on the chosen social media platforms and put up a set number of posts per week. Andavo said the content will be personalized to the participating advisers.
In addition to posting content, Andavo’s marketing team will also engage in the platform on behalf of agents. For instance, on Facebook, they might like or comment on other people’s posts.
Each month, the agent will receive a report showing their social media analytics. They can also provide feedback.
Compass comes at a one-time set-up fee of $50 which includes a 30-minute initial consultation with the marketing team, as well as page setup.
After, it comes at a flat fee of $15 per social media platform, per month, which includes the postings and month-end analytics. Using Compass for Facebook includes five weekly posts and engagement; Instagram is five weekly posts and engagement; Twitter is three posts per day, five days per week, and engagement; and Pinterest is five pins to boards per day, five days per week.
Agents pay for a full month at t time, but are under no commitment to continue the service for any set amount of time.
“Compass is a complete solution for travel advisers who know they should be participating in the world of social media but don’t know how to begin, and don’t have the time or desire to figure it out,” Andavo Travel CEO Mike Cameron said in a statement. “This is not a training program (although Andavo does offer that as well); this is for the advisers who want to turn their social media over to someone else, so they can tap into the power of social media and still focus on what they do best, planning luxurious vacations for their clients.”
