Chicago’s Midtown Athletic Club in July will add a 55-room boutique hotel that will feature a suite designed by professional tennis player Venus Williams.
The Hotel at Midtown is part of a $75 million project that will include the redevelopment of the Midtown Athletic Club, which was the world’s largest indoor tennis club when it opened in 1970.
The property, located in the Bucktown district about 5 miles northeast of The Loop, will include a 100-foot-long indoor pool, 15 indoor tennis courts, and a kids’ pool that will be converted to an ice rink in the winter.
The site will also have a spa and restaurant.
