Telangana Tourism in association with Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation’s (TSTDC) has commenced a month-long theme event ‘Global Celebrations on Buddhist Heritage in Telangana’. An array of conferences and panels are slated from February 23-26, 2017. Through this global event, the state tourism board of Telangana aims to promote the destination as a rich heritage spot among Indian travellers.
The highlights of the first two days of conference includes launch of Guide Book on Buddhist sites, panel discussions, documentary film on Buddhist sites available in Telangana, photograph exhibition on Buddhist heritage sites. TSTDC has also initiated for field visits as FAM tours at Nagarjunakona Museum, Buddhavanam, Golconda Fort, Nellakondapally and Phanigiri.
