The cliché about Canada is that it’s a nature and outdoors destination. Of course, the cliché has a lot of truth in it, even though in the last 30 years or so the largest Canadian cities, Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal have become veritable cosmopolitan world class urban destinations. Nevertheless, the fact is that there are innumerable spots in Canada where one can enjoy the beauty of our planet in all its natural wonder. One of these spots is the area around the Discovery Islands in British Columbia. This part of the province near the little town of Campbell River is chock full of salmon at various time of year. One of the reasons Orcas love these waters. In summer time going to see the Orcas is a great trip. When I went, one of the Orcas got right close to the Zodiac we were in. It was awesome!
