“The New Celebrity Apprentice” will be hosted by Arnold Schwarzenegger, who will work with business leaders like Tyra Banks and Warren Buffett; they will comprise his team of boardroom advisors. Sixteen celebrities — ranging from reality TV’s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi; to boxing world champion Laila Ali; to Vince Neil, the lead singer of Motley Crue — will compete for the “Celebrity Apprentice” title as well as $250,000 for their designated charity.
The show premiers Jan 2 on NBC, and its two-part finale, featuring Carnival’s brands, will air on Feb. 6 and 13. Carnival said more details about the finale, as well as the Celebrity Apprentice Charity Challenge, are to come.
“We expect ‘The New Celebrity Apprentice’ will be a big hit with viewers, and being able to reach millions of people watching the program is a powerful way for us to generate awareness of cruising and help inspire people to consider cruising when they are planning their vacations,” Carnival Corp. CEO Arnold Donald said in a statement. “We are also looking forward to generating awareness of and support for several well-deserving charitable groups by offering cruise giveaways that will create a lot of excitement.”
