Leading low-cost airlines from Turkey and Saudi Arabia have signed a codeshare agreement to offer their guests connections on both airlines’ networks.
With the new agreement, Pegasus guests can now fly to Riyadh and Jeddah via Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen, while flynas guests travelling from Riyadh and Jeddah can fly to Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Hatay and Trabzon via Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen.
Pegasus chief executive Mehmet Nane said: “As Turkey’s leading low-cost airline, with scheduled flights to 102 destinations in 40 countries, we are thrilled to be entering into a partnership with Saudi Arabia’s leading low-cost airline flynas.
“This partnership will allow flynas guests wishing to visit Turkey via Istanbul to have the chance to experience flying with Pegasus.
“We will bring together our destinations in Saudi Arabia and Turkey using Istanbul as a hub.
“Our guests will be able to fly from all over Turkey to Riyadh and Jeddah via Istanbul using just one ticket purchased on our website.
flynas chief executive Bander Al Mohanna was also quick to praise the deal.
He said: “This successful partnership with Pegasus Airlines has already given thousands of customers the choice to experience and enjoy a wide range of destinations in Turkey.
“In return, as we approach Umrah season, customers from Turkey are also given the opportunity to fly to Saudi Arabia from multiple points in Turkey.
“Both flynas and Pegasus look forward to increasing the number of destinations on both carriers’ network, providing even more options to all passengers traveling between KSA and Turkey.”
