HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Norwegian Cruise Line will expand its Margaritaville at Sea franchise to two more ships, starting with the Norwegian Getaway on Sept. 18 and followed by the Norwegian Breakaway on Oct. 9.
The restaurant will be installed in place of the Flamingo Grill on Getaway, and the Uptown Grill on Breakaway.
Norwegian president Andy Stuart and Margaritaville chief marketing officer Tamara Baldanza-Dekker disclosed the expansion at Margaritaville’s oceanfront resort in Hollywood, north of Miami.
Margaritaville first appeared on Norwegian Escape, which debuted late last year. That ship also has a 5’Oclock Somewhere Bar.
Margaritaville at Sea was popular enough on Escape that Norwegian implemented a cover charge about a month after it opened.
“Demand for that venue was beyond anything that we had ever seen,” Stuart said, “so we knew we had a partnership that made sense.”
That partnership also includes the addition of Landshark Bar & Grill outlets at its two private islands in the Bahamas and Belize.
