Chief among the child-friendly perks is the pizza dough ball that kids are given to play with while they wait for their food. As an adult, you may have forgotten what it’s like to squish gooey, doughy substances through your fingers and then smash your sticky hands together in unfettered delight, but trust us when we say: this is flippin’ fantastic.

But the joy doesn’t stop there. For artistically minded children (not that that dinosaur made of pizza dough that Jimmy made isn’t artistic, per se, but you can’t hang it on the fridge), there are some charmingly quirky coloring pages to work on, with past and present themes including Hall & Oates, Mr. T, Richard Simmons, and Zooey Deschanel. Which is to say, this is entertainment for the kids, plus the adults who are in on the joke.
Another kid-favorite activity is a classic: just sitting at the bar and watching the pizzas being prepped and tossed, quietly (or, perhaps far too loudly) mumbling about how funny it would be if the cook threw the dough too high and it got stuck on the ceiling.

For kids who need to kill a little extra energy (and were not distracted for long enough by the maze in Richard Simmons’ hair), there’s a ping pong table out back.
And finally, if your youngsters are dragging a little by the end of the meal, don’t worry: they’ll get a pick-me-up with the candy that comes with the check. (You’re welcome.)
Footnote for parents: the menu includes both beer and wine.

Oh, and did we mention the pizza? It’s thin crust, foldable, and delicious. And for bonus points, it’s also affordable, with many (giant) slices coming in under $4. Home Slice, you get us.
