Whenever I go to conferences and events I often receive USB sticks from tourist boards or travel companies with information loaded on them. They’re usually branded with the company’s logo, and while I may not always have time to read the information on them, I do often re-use them to save files when I’m travelling abroad. So as a blogger, perhaps it was time to have my own branded merch! I have business cards, so why not USB sticks too?
Custom USB Sticks
First of all, I had to select which style I wanted, and with so many options to choose from I felt really spoilt for choice. Did I want a wooden one or a metal one? Did I want a wristband, a bottle opener, or a flip flop? You can see just how many USB styles they have here. In the end I chose a few of my favourites and the folks at USB Memory Direct came up with a mockup using my logo, which I sent to them as a png file.
They sent back a mockup of the BP custom flash drive in black and white, but I decided something a little bit more colourful was needed, so they sent over a second mockup in the blue colour that features across my site.
Once we’d agreed on the style, all that was left to do was wait for them to arrive in the mail. Delivery was super fast, and they came in a box, each individually wrapped and secured together with elastic bands. With USB Memory Direct you get free printing and shipping, and you can even request a rush delivery within 24/7 if you urgently need them before a conference.
I’ve taken them travelling with me to backup my photos and with 8GB of storage space, they’re proving really useful. I can’t wait to load my media kit onto them and hand them out at my next travel conference!
