Living in Toronto, and on the west end of Toronto at that, Niagara Falls is not far at all. The trick is driving there at the right time so as to avoid rush hours.

I just spend 24 hours in Niagara Falls this past weekend with my wife. We had a lunch with friends in the area and then stay the night on the Fallsview side of Niagara Falls (booked the room the same day via Expedia Canada’s mobile app, very easy). We spent a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon walking by The Falls, went to the Fallsview Casino for a little while, had dinner at Brasa Restaurant and had a fun night like a couple of almost newlyweds!
If there’s something I may criticize is the lack of fireworks on Saturday nights! Niagara Parks has a fireworks show at Niagara Falls, Friday and Sunday nights (and Holidays), but not on Saturday night. Why, why why!!! I will have to give them a call and find out!
