Are you searching for somewhere to take a special trip soon? One of the biggest things people look for in their holiday destinations is that it will provide them with some breathtaking scenery that they wouldn’t be able to get on their own doorstep. Whether you’re looking for clear blue waters hugged by white sand, rolling hilltops or medieval architecture, do your research, and you’ll be able to find something to suit you perfectly. We’ve done some of the research for you already; these four destinations are popular year after year because of their unforgettable and picturesque views.
- Bora Bora, French Polynesia
- Brittany, France
When most people think of Brittany, they think of the beaches, but this isn’t the only thing this destination has to offer. The region has towns that are walled medieval citadels such as Dinan, Vitré and the ports of St-Malo and Vannes. The ancient forests provide a backdrop for some of the most idyllic looking cottages and chateaus as if they had been plucked straight from a fairytale. You might even be thinking of planning a wedding abroad, and if so Brittany is definitely one place you should consider for a private French chateau for wedding hire.
- Reykjavik, Iceland
The capital of Iceland is known as one of the best places that you can see one of the most magical sights in the world – the Northern Lights. Sometimes known as the aurora borealis, these are a naturally occurring phenomenon that provides a unique lighting performance throughout the Arctic skies. Many people who have witnessed this occurrence before have described it as spiritually uplifting, and it is one of the prime reasons that people fly to Iceland each year.
- Cinque Terre, Italy
This string of centuries-old seaside villages has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1997. Each of the five fishing towns is filled with colourful houses and vineyards that you can pass by on scenic hiking trails. There are plenty of opportunities to take in the sea vistas while you sit in one of the many seafood restaurants or trattorias. You can walk between each of the towns in a matter of hours, all of which have their own unique personality.
These destinations are only some of the most scenic destinations in the world, of course, but should give you an idea of where you want to take your next unforgettable trip. Who knows, if you choose one of these places you might have an experience that will change your life.
