30 Days to the Biggest Canada Day Celebration ever! On July 1, 2017 the entire country will celebrate this amazing place called Canada, a place where the idea that all human beings are equal, where respect for the other is more common than not, where diversity is embraced more than in any other country on earth. While Canada is not utopia and by no means a perfect country, it is today one of the best places in the world to live. We acknowledge that we must continue to strive for a better Canada and for a better world because in the words of the late Hon. Pierre Elliott Trudeau:
“A country, after all, is not something you build as the pharaohs built the pyramids, and then leave standing there to defy eternity. A country is something that is built every day out of certain basic shared values.”
