1. There’s an attached LEGO hotel
The building itself isn’t made of the playful bricks, but a LOT of the inside furniture and decor is – and each floor (and its rooms) is themed to popular LEGO games. (Plus, guests get early entrance to the park!)
2. Kids eat free in most places
As long as they’re accompanied by a paying adult.
3. You can be a ninja warrior
A brand new ride (NINJAGO) just opened on May 5th that lets kids control fireballs, ice, lightning, and shockwaves (pretend, obviously) to defeat a giant dragon and earn ninja status.
4. There’s a snack called apple fries
And they’re delicious. Order them with whipped cream.
5. There’s a program called Parent Swap
Not exactly what it sounds like, Mom and Dad…it’s for parents who have kids that don’t all meet the minimum height restriction for a ride, so both parents can enjoy the experience. One parent can ride with the older child, and when the first ride is over, the parents may then switch places (affording a bonus double ride for tall-enough Junior.)
6. You can trade LEGOs
All of the park employees carry a few mini-figures attached to their shirt’s chest pocket, which kids can trade with one from home!
7. Bring a bathing suit
You’ll want it for the Water Park. On that note, get your water fix in before 11am or after 3pm to avoid the longest lines.
8. There are 57 million LEGO bricks in the park
And just think: you won’t step on a single one of them. At night. Barefoot.
9. Buy tickets online to save time and money
Plus, the VIP Experience gets you to the front of the line (and other special perks.)
10. There’s plenty to do nearby
After a day spent with plastic bricks and figures, the beaches and Carlsbad Outlets are within spitting distance.
